100% Tinta de Toro, and indigenous variety in Spain, it is commonly known as Tempranillo in other regions. The grapes are from old vineyards that were resistant to Phylloxera. Low density plantings and low yields, these grapes make wines with a great rustic character.
Selection of the grapes from the best vines. The fruit it is then destalked. Long maceration in stainless steel tanks.
Aged for twelve months in French oak barrels and then held in the bottle long enough to reach maturity (minimum of 6 months).
Cherry-red with tawny hues. Well balanced aromas with hints of barrel ageing and varietal notes. Very fine and well-structured with mature and meaty tannins. Powerful and elegant. Pleasant and very persistent finish. An exciting wine with character and personality.
